Born in Istanbul, he came to creative work through an unusual path — failing a childhood art class for "scribbles" that were, in fact, attempts to render cloud movement and atmosphere. Years later, photography became his medium, leading to a Sony World Photography Awards Top 10 finish at Somerset House (2012), two National Geographic awards, an IPA Lucie Silver in Commercial/Advertising/Fashion, an Epson Pano Award, and features in Vogue's PhotoVogue, Behance Featured (5×), and 500px Editor's Choice.
